An Update on the Russians, an upcoming climb, and more

My last post detailed the adventurous Russian attempt at a winter summit on K2- sadly, after the loss of a teammate at base camp they have decided to abandon their attempt and head home. A serious amount of respect is due to the team for their efforts, and a sad loss for Vitaly Gorelik’s family and friends. Before ending their attempt, the team had made it as high as 7200m.

I’m currently traveling, hence the fewer than normal posts.

But the traveling has taken me to a place where there is a great mountain to hike/climb. It will involve a short flight, but promises to be a unique opportunity. Once completed I’ll share what promises to be great photos.
