About

I live on the east coast of the United States, and I’m an engineer. I have a loving wife and daughter. I work lots of hours and spend what little free time I have with my family. In addition to that, I love to climb. That’s what this whole thing (blog) is about.

I’m going to detail my climbing experiences both indoors and outdoors, my training for my Summer 2012 trip, and the different gear I will use. But I’m also going to talk about the more esoteric side of this adventure: the climbing culture, the great people I hope to meet, and the future of the sport.

  1. Hey there,

Really appreciate you doing the article on Lonnie Dupre, however he is trying to solo summit Denali/McKinley not Ranier.

    • Hi Anna- you’re absolutely right! I knew that as well, just seems like my hands didn’t follow what my brain told them to type. I’m modifying my post as we speak.
